Samiya completed Bar in law and has been a voice against social injustice and inequality.

Samiya has been busy with multiple charity works including Bangladesh Association Glasgow, Bengali Performing Arts, and Bangla Bidya Niketon.

She is an excellent orator and represented BAG and Bangladeshi women on various platforms.

She was a co-director of the acting of the play MEMORi staged in the ‘Tramway Theatre’ during a theatre festival of the National Theatre of Scotland (NTS). She performed as a theatre artist in ‘Kobor after’ which was staged at Mitchell Theatre during the Glasgow Language Festival and performed in the play ‘LASCARi’.

She lives in Cambuslang with her husband and two daughters.
