British Council’s OSCH Project 2022-2023 Event

On Saturday, September 9th, we had the pleasure of hosting a celebratory event at the Kelvingrove Museum to mark the conclusion of phase 2 of our OSCH (Our Shared Cultural Heritage program from British Council) project.

The day commenced with our young participants attending an engaging public speaking workshop led by John Loughton from Dare2lead.

Following a delicious lunch, the highlight of the day arrived as the youths confidently presented their work at the speakers' forum in front of a diverse audience. Their newfound confidence was truly remarkable, and witnessing their transformation was a delight. We were equally thrilled to have our young letter writing partners in Bangladesh join us via Zoom to share their experiences.

In the latter part of the event, we screened a captivating BAG original documentary titled 'Nature and Us,' created by Martin Heron. The documentary showcased the journey of our young participants as they explored the environmental effects of global warming.

The event concluded with heartfelt remarks from our esteemed guest of honour, Mr. Kazi Ziaul Hasan, the Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Manchester, and Juliet Dean, Senior Programme Manager of #OurSharedCulturalHeritage at the #BritishCouncil. #OSCH ( Photo Credit: Dr. Saif D.
