Abdullah Al Wasif born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Wasif studied law and has spent over a decade building and scaling ventures in frontier markets. As part of the founding team at Pathao, he played a pivotal role in establishing the gig economy industry in Bangladesh, helping grow the company in its early days. He previously launched Uber in the region.

Beyond startups, Wasif served as the President of Volunteer For Bangladesh (Dhaka District), where he mobilized volunteers and led numerous social impact initiatives that improved the lives of people.

Wasif worked at OFGEM, UK's energy regulator in its operations delivery for renewables and currently the CEO and co-founder of UnityFlow AI, a technology company based in Glasgow developing AI-driven multilingual speech recognition systems tailored for underserved languages. UnityFlow AI’s mission is to remove language barriers, boost operational productivity, and create inclusive communication solutions for businesses and communities worldwide.

Wasif lives with his wife Kazi Nazra in Shettleston.
