An Incident with Jackfruit, KOBOR: AFTER (কবর অত:পর)

  • Venue: MITCHELL THEATRE
  • Date: 09/0/2019
Bangladesh Association Glasgow has been the main initiator of Glasgow's first ever Language festival. Bringing together partners and supporters nationally and internationally.

In the festival, BAG is premiering it's first ever short film "An Incident with Jackfruit". The filme is based on the short story from the award winning Bengali author Shahaduzzman. It will be preceeded by the pre-amble documentary of the short-film "Home & Us" - made by the creative team of BAG.

The final event of the day is BAG's amateur theatre production - KOBOR: AFTER (কবর অত:পর) - written by their very own Tareq Abdullah.
It's a re-imagining of a landmark drama of Bengali literature KOBOR by Munier Choudhury, depicting the tumultuous days of the Language movement of Bangladesh in February 1952.
